Editorial Content

The Journal of Clinical Pharmacology publishes original papers, brief reports, editorials, commentaries, and therapeutic reviews. Manuscripts are invited that deal with the effects of drugs in humans. These include the general categories of pharmacokinetics and drug disposition, pharmacodynamic studies, clinical trials, studies in therapeutics, pharmacogenetics, pharmacoepidemiology, and human pharmacology. Manuscripts in these areas can be submitted as original reports of studies dealing with the clinical and pharmacologic effects of drugs and therapeutic agents. Manuscripts that bridge the transition from animals to man or that combine animal and human data are also encouraged. Studies that deal only with animals must have clear clinical applicability. A new area for potential submissions is molecular pharmacology with clinical applicability. Manuscripts of this type and other innovative and original work will be given preference in publication.
