Eight doses of fenoprofen calcium, 400 mg, acid equivalents, were administered every six hours to patients with chronic disease and associated fever. In comparison with placebo treatment before and after, fenoprofen significantly suppressed the febrile state of each individual. Subnormal temperatures occurred commonly during the treatment period. Subnormal temperatures were not observed when single oral doses of 600 mg were given to normal subjects.
