This report describes ethosuximide blood levels for the first time in a clinical setting. Twenty-one children and young adults with petit mal or mixed seizure disorders received ethosuximide in varying doses. Ethosuximide levels were determined periodically and compared with the dose and various other clinical parameters. An average blood level of 40±14.9 µg/ml is obtained from an average daily dose of ethosuximide of 20.7± 5.8 mg/kg.
